this might show my age, but often when i envision the future, i picture teeny-tiny tech.
wafer-thin communicators, feather-light earpieces of glimmering metal,
you know, big things in small packages.
this crosses handily with my love of the kitsch and trashy and my lifelong hobby of photography.
recently i found a dubious website offering fun plastic picture-takers the size of a tube of lipstick with easy attachments for a key ring. i decided to leap in wholly and pick up 2 different models, colloquially known as the G6 and the G10.
it felt like some very special stars aligned to ensure the packages arrived just before this year’s Dore Alley. check out my very first shots on my new cameras at this fabulous freaky festival below.
(for the uninitiated, Up Your Alley, also known as “Dore Alley”, is the ‘low-key’ or ‘dry-run’ summer version of the fall Folsom Street Fair that happens each September. Folsom is one of the largest outdoor street festivals in California and the largest kink + bdsm festival in the world.)
